Archaeologists discovered the largest recorded human coprolite, a fossilized piece of feces, in 1972 under what is now a bank in York, England. The coprolite, known as the Lloyd's Bank Coprolite, measured over 20 cm long and 5 cm wide, and an analysis of the stool suggested that it had been excreted over a millennium ago, during the Viking Era, when York was known as Jórvik.
